Desperate to express the feelings that overwhelmed me, an illustration was going to take too much time. I opted for a simple photo edit and design. Doing so allowed me to convert my negative energy into something productive within a couple of hours. The result is my own cover art interpretation for Terror Jr's song "Dead Girl Walking."
Red Toy Car
A red car is extremely significant to both parties in the story. Rather than using a photo of an actual car, I used a photo of a toy car. Using an image of a toy car was my way of belittling the car and capturing the cheapness of the situation. It was my intent to disrespect.
"Dead Girl Walking"
In this story, I discovered the song "Dead Girl Walking" by Terror Jr. The song resonated with me and the situation so it felt appropriate to incorporate the song title within this design.
